NOT LOSING? WHAT TO DO

There are generally only a few reasons why a person may not be losing weight after they begin the program:

Not Eating Enough – Not Enough Protein

Food

Because the weight-loss formulas help control appetite, many people are tempted not to eat if they are not hungry. Metabolic elevation is the goal. If you stop eating, your metabolism stops working. Regular meals MUST be consumed in order for the body to stay metabolically active and burn fat. More frequent small meals are even better than a few large ones. Protein, like lean meat, chicken or fish are the best foods to eat because 50 percent of their associated calories are burned up in the digestive process, which further fuels the metabolism. Everyone needs a minimum of 10-12 ounces of protein daily. You should not limit your diet just to eating salad or other vegetables in an effort to keep calories low. These foods, although nutritionally beneficial, are not enough to keep the metabolism active. Protein is the only food source that will provide appropriate metabolic stimulation. You must eat to lose or your body will go into starvation mode and hoard fat to replace missed meals.

Not Drinking Enough Water

Water is the ONLY thing that flushes fat from the body. A minimum of 6-8 glasses of water must be consumed every day to help your body rid itself of broken-down fat and unwanted toxins. Beverages such as soda, tea or coffee are not water and are not beneficial for fat elimination.

Taking Product at The Wrong Times

Wristwatch

The time a weight-loss product is taken is important. If you wake up hungry, you should take your products just before breakfast and again before lunch. Most people find they need appetite control at lunch and dinner, so they should take their product just before lunch and again around 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm. There is no need to start taking product in the morning if hunger doesn’t start until noon or mid-afternoon. Product taken around noon and again at 6:00 pm, should help control evening snacking. If it does not, then increase the 6:00 pm dosage. It is not recommended to take either weight-loss formula after 6:00 pm because you do not want to boost your metabolism too close to bedtime or it may affect your ability to go to sleep.

Product Dosage Too Low For Body Chemistry

Hand Holding Pill

Everybody is biochemically different and not everyone should take the same dosage for weight-loss products. In addition, some people will try to make their products last longer and take fewer tablets or capsules than are actually needed to help them control appetite or boost their metabolism. It is best to start with a low dose and increase it only if you see no weight-loss. As many as 3 capsules or tablets may be taken at a time with a maximum dosage of 6 per day. If you are not hungry and you are seeing a decrease in weight or inches, that indicates that the correct dosage has been achieved.

Un-Diagnosed Thyroid Condition

Chemistry Flasks

The thyroid controls the pituitary gland that affects metabolism. Slow thyroid function is considered one of the most un-diagnosed conditions people face and is especially present in overweight people. In fact, it is estimated that more than 22% of the overweight population have an under active thyroid. If you are following the eating guidelines properly, taking your weight-loss products and are still not losing, you should ask your doctor for a Free-T-3/Free-T-4 test which will identify a possible thyroid condition that may require medication in order to improve its function.

Food Allergies or Sensitivities

People have reactions to certain types of foods that are not related to the chemicals or fats those foods contain. Food allergies, intolerance’s and sensitivities are three separate food reactions that may be very dangerous to health, can affect weight-loss or weight maintenance efforts and may even cause death. Indigestion, nausea, skin rashes and sinus congestion can all be indications of food allergies. But, an inability to lose weight when you know you are doing everything right is another indication that sensitivities may be present. Even reactions to non-caloric items like onion or artificial sweeteners may cause the body to retain unwanted fat by metabolically slowing down. Simple food sensitivity tests can be performed by a family doctor or allergist. This test is highly recommended to help determine which foods should be avoided or, at least, minimized. Although there are as many as two hundred food ingredients that can provoke food allergies, the vast majority of serious reactions are caused by only nine. They are:

Nuts

Peanuts (which are legumes not nuts)

Milk

Eggs

Fish

Shellfish

Strawberries

  Soybeans
Wheat

Prescription Medications Are Slowing Metabolism

Pills

Many drugs will negatively affect the metabolism. This is particularly true of some hormone-based drugs like estrogen, progesterone or some anti-depressants. If weight-loss challenges continue, individuals should consult their doctor for his or her suggestions.

Trading Pounds – Less Fat and More Lean Muscle

Feet on Scale

A protein-rich diet will encourage the rebuilding of lean muscle while it promotes fat elimination. Fat is five-times bulkier than lean muscle. When you trade a pound of fat for a pound of newly developed lean muscle, your body will be smaller yet the scale will remain the same. It is important to be aware of inches lost rather than use the scale as a success indicator. People who are exercising will be building lean muscle and may find they lose inches more rapidly than pounds.
