Debi founded Fit America, one of the fastest growing companies in the weight-loss and wellness industry in 1992 and learned of the connection we all have between physical health and emotional health by the hundreds of thousands of people she's helped all these years. When mind, body and spirit are not in alignment, we cannot be happy.
Debi has dedicated herself to empower people to reclaim control of their life and master their future. Let her help you, too…
Having personally lost 85 pounds in less than six months and having maintained that loss for more than 16 years while helping others to do the same, Debi is considered a weight loss expert. Recognizing that most of her clients were heavy even though they ate properly caused her to seek help from medical doctors who assisted her in the establishment of a new understanding and approach to weight loss and healthcare. Identifying the fact that the body can actually store unwanted fat due to nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalances or nutrient depletions caused by medication use, Debi's diagnostic approach to weight loss and wellness was revolutionary.
For three consecutive years, Working Woman magazine recognized Fit America as one of America's top 500 women-owned businesses. Debi was awarded Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1999 for health and has been featured on national TV and in media publications, including Success magazine, FSB (Fortune Small Business) and Newsweek.
Debi has written three books that address weight-loss challenges: Back Off! I'll Lose Weight When I'm Ready for teens, Weight Loss Through Visualization and Better Than Atkins…The Country Club Diet for adults as well as her many lifestyle guides, Why Don't You Love Me? I'm the best choice; Executive Parenting; Helpers and Wisdoms for a Better Life. Debi is a regular contributor for several magazines and newspapers and motivates audiences nationally by her frequent speaking engagements.
"Belief in oneself is essential for success," Debi says. "Sometimes, when things look the grimmest is when the strength and determination that lives deep inside each and every one of us has an opportunity to emerge."
Debi is available for personal appearances and conferences.
